• The platform is inserted into the subglottic larynx above the level of the packed cottonoids. The platform helps to protect the cottonoids, endotracheal tube and cuff, and tissues of the subglottic larynx from any direct or reflected laser beam radiation. Shaft and tip are ebonized.
